Animal lovers and their dogs gathered at Seattle Humane Society’s 11th annual Walk for the Animals at University Village’s FidoFEST on Sunday, Sept. 22 raising more than $117,000 for the animals! These life-saving funds will help Seattle Humane continue to provide food, shelter, and medical care to thousands of pets in need in our community. Donations can still be made at seattlehumane.org/walk.
The top fundraiser in the youth age group was Maria Russinovich who raised $500 for the animals. The highest fundraising team was Sharks for Barks raising $1,940. The top individual fundraiser was Jessie Douglas Miller raising an incredible $3,870 for the animals! After the Walk, the fun continued at FidoFEST – a celebration of all things dog that also benefited Seattle Humane.
Walk for the Animals was presented by Safeway and supported by Carter Subaru.
