Home Community Seattle Humane’s Walk raises $177,000 for the animals

Animal lovers and their dogs gathered at Seattle Humane Society’s 11th annual Walk for the Animals at University Village’s FidoFEST on Sunday, Sept. 22 raising more than $117,000 for the animals! These life-saving funds will help Seattle Humane continue to provide food, shelter, and medical care to thousands of pets in need in our community. Donations can still be made at seattlehumane.org/walk.

The top fundraiser in the youth age group was Maria Russinovich who raised $500 for the animals. The highest fundraising team was Sharks for Barks raising $1,940. The top individual fundraiser was Jessie Douglas Miller raising an incredible $3,870 for the animals! After the Walk, the fun continued at FidoFEST – a celebration of all things dog that also benefited Seattle Humane.

Walk for the Animals was presented by Safeway and supported by Carter Subaru.
